Government Higher Secondary School, Kangan was established in 1978 under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Department of School Education. Situated in the scenic Kangan area of Ganderbal District along the SrinagarβLeh Highway, the school serves as the primary public secondary institution for students from Kangan, Gund, Gagangir, Narannag, and surrounding villages.
Affiliated to the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), the school offers science, commerce, and arts streams from Classes 8 to 12. Over the decades, our alumni have gone on to serve as doctors, engineers, army officers, government servants, and community leaders.
